Do You Have A Land Line At Home?
I live in rural area. Not out in the middle of nowhere but a few miles outside of a small town. investment properties . My local telephone company provides my DSL internet service because the cable company will not service my home. I live about one quarter of a mile from the highway down a paved road and they will not run a line. Thank goodness for satellite.
Anyway, up until just recently you had to pay for the home phone service to get the DSL high speed internet. Now, you can drop your home phone and still keep the high speed internet service. computer geeks . I know there are a lot of people doing this, going cell phone only, but for some reason I’m a little hesitant. I’m not sure why. I get no calls on my land line. Everyone who needs to talk to me calls me on the cell phone. It’s probably an emotional attachment of some sore.
I’m seriously considering this. Has anyone else done this? Is the wireline really dead? What was your experience?
